Description

GKSh-800R Hydraulic Power Tong is designed for a quick, safe and accurate making up and torquing tubing with outer diameters Ø48 mm (1.89"), Ø60 mm (2 ⅜"), Ø73 mm (2 ⅞"), Ø89 mm (3 ½"), and sucker rods according to GOST 13877 with nominal diameters Ø16 mm (⅝”), Ø19 mm (¾”), Ø22 mm (⅞”), Ø25 mm (1”).

The climatic version is NF1 as per GOST 15150-69, ambient air temperature during operation is from -45°С to +50 °С.

Features

This hydraulic power tong represents the next stage of development of the GKSh-400UM tong and is reversible, with no need to reinstall the jaws for making up or torquing operations. To ensure the tong's operability, the following was implemented:

• dimensions of the main load-bearing elements are increased;

• gearbox: high and low gears are selected for optimal making up and torquing;

• hydraulic motor control lever interlock when the door is open;

• tubing backup hydraulic tool (GKR8.400.000): easy assembly and disassembly due to quick-disconnect couplings (QDCs) installed on RVD hoses;

• sucker rod backup hydraulic tool (GKR8.750.000): installed without disassembling the tubing backup tool, but must be disassembled when operating with tubing;

• can be equipped with the SKS-23 makeup control system.

The adjustable valve allows achieving the specified torque, which is monitored by the built-in pressure gauge.
