Description
Tarkhan GKSh-4300RM Hydraulic Power Tong is designed for fast, safe, accurate make-up and break-out of drill pipes with outer diameters from Ø60 mm (2 3/8") to Ø178 mm (7"), delivering a maximum torque of up to 50,000 N·m (5,100 kgf·m).
The climatic version is NF1 as per GOST 15150-69, ambient air temperature during operation is from -45°С to +50 °С.Features
This tong is the next step in the development of the GKSh-4200 model. The unit is fully reversible, eliminating the need to reinstall the jaws when switching between makeup and breakout modes. To ensure reliable performance under higher torque loads, the thicknesses of the main load-bearing components, including gears and support rollers, have been increased.
The vane hydraulic motor and mechanical gearbox provide two distinct torque ranges at identical hydraulic fluid pressures from 0 to 200 bar.The tong is equipped with a hydraulic safety interlock that prevents rotor rotation when the gate is open. This enhances operator safety during jaw replacement for the next pipe size range.
