SKS-23

Description

SKS-23 Make-Up Torque Control System is intended to record the torque values during make-up of pipe joints and to prevent the excessive torque from being applied to a pipe joint. All the components exposed to explosion hazards are explosion-proof and intended for use within the rotor platform of the drilling rig.
The system is mainly designed to regulate the torque during make-up by GKSh series hydraulic power tongs as per TU-3668-006-55834270-2006 operated together with GSE-200-37T Hydraulic Power Unit. Another function is recording the number of rotations made by the power tong's rotor during make-up whichallows to build a curve describing the behavior of torque and rotations. Other products are allowed to be used provided that they comply with the requirements specified in the operation manual SKS-23.00.00.000 RE.

SKS-23 Make-Up Torque Control System includes the following components:

- Vandalproof gas-impermeable computer unit with touch screen;

- Explosion-proof control cabinet including programmable logic controller, control relay and intrinsically safe barriers;

- Weight measuring strain gauge;

- Angular transducer;

- Cartridge valve;

- Connecting cables with explosion-proof industrial plugs for connecting gauges and control unit.
